ROSSELLÓ ABOGADOS assisted a Peruvian subsidiary of the Veolia Group in winning the contract for the operation and maintenance of the desalination plant owned by Minera Milpo.

The French multinational Veolia, a global leader in the water treatment industry, was awarded the contract to operate and maintain the desalination plant for the Cerro Lindo mine, in Ica (Peru), through its subsidiary Proactiva Medioambiente Peru.

The three-year contract covers water intake and the production of desalinated water by inverse osmosis.

The plant has a fresh water output capacity of 48 liters per second to meet the requirements of Cerro Lindo. Beginning in 2016, the plant’s desalinated water output will increase to 60 liters per second, representing a 20% improvement over its current capacity level.
