Hugo Morote

An attorney from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, with a Master’s Degree in Civil Law from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, he has more than 25 years’ worth of experience in the structuring, design and operation of Public-Private Partnership Projects, Infrastructure Works Concessions and Private Initiatives, having participated in the private investment promotion program in Peru since its inception in the 1990s.

He has represented and continues to represent a variety of foreign and national investors in their projects and investments in road, seaport, airport, energy and sanitation infrastructure, among others. He has participated in a number of direct and stock market credit operations and has conducted a number of mergers and acquisitions. He was appointed by the Executive Branch as a member of the Commission responsible for identifying the means and actions for outsourcing the administration and management of penitentiary centers.

He has led and continues to lead our Firm’s arbitration team, having obtained recognized favorable results for our clients, through the comprehensive and strategic analysis of disputes.

He has provided advice on the structuring of financing and contracts in general and is a founding member of the Peruvian Association of Private Law, as well as a member the Institute of Public Services (IDESER). He has been a professor of Contract Law at the most prestigious private universities in the country (Universidad de Lima, Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas, Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú).
